It's writing, as Stephen King used to say.
What a great month this has been. Aside from winning a Caribbean winter vacation, I've really moved mountains in terms of my writing goals. Behind Blue Eyes is in the hands of an editor friend who will be sending it back shortly with suggestions for the final draft, I've got a design being created for book cover, and I've also decided that the book will need to be divided into two separate parts because of its length and the need to follow the marketplace. My only struggle right now is coming up with a title for the second half, and any suggestions from those of you who have read it would be most welcome.
On top of getting BBE moving along, I'm also back on track with my second (well, now third) book of the series, and will most likely have that one done within the next two weeks. I've figured out how to bring the story to an end, and have been really excited by the mere act of writing. Today, I had to put myself in character and write a love song to another character, which was really challenging as I haven't done that in years. I patched together some lyrics, which need to sit at least overnight so that I can reassess them tomorrow, but the exercise was a good mental and creative stretch.
Onward and upward, onto the page!

wonderful news, and so brisk ... winning aside ;-).
Thanks everyone. Gina, it is amazing what one can accomplish when work is but a distant memory. And I say this not as someone who dislikes her job, but as one who is amazed at him much time it took from my day.
congrats on the Vacation.
And very very exciting news on your writing! :)
xx
