I approached Pete through his personal assistant, whose email address I had. It took 3 days for her to get back to me with the okay from Pete. I have also promised him a copy, which i will send him as soon as I get one.
3 days. that's fast.
He would love a copy.
I would think he would feel honoured .
Isnt great how there is communication with PT. I suppose, without his "ok", you would have to have chosen another title?
No, actually, I didn't ask him permission for the title because that isn't necessary- you can't copyright titles, I don't think. I asked him for permission to use a part of his lyrics in the foreword only. Eother way, he is aware of all of it and had no problems. I hope he will like it, since his work inspired it.
I was thinking, too, about the journalist who wrote that unauthorized bio of Pete, who also called BBE. There was nothing Pete could do about that title. And there were also a couple of books named after famous songs by Wally Lamb- She's Come Undone, and I Know This Much is True.

Hi Val, I think they have more printing centres than perhaps they used to, but yes, I am seriously impressed. Yopur copy will be mailed out from here tomorrow, and sadly, it will be slower than Lulu.
