Markus Zusak has a new fan for life. This book is at once beautiful, ugly, funny, sad, and haunting. The language is so vivd, and the story made me want to continue to turn the pages right to the very end.
I envy your love of reading Anne Marie, I sometimes wish I could share that with my love of movies. I suppose it is along the same lines, I love a good story in a movie...? a little less imagination?
Sounds like one for me Anne Marie. I am with a lovely book called Reflections of Sunflowers, sequel to a House in the Sunflowers, which I've also read. Concerns a couple who bought a ruin of a farmhouse in SW France back in the seventies and their love affair with France and the region. Beautiful reading.
